What should I do, if the Mini­Displayport to HDMI® ­ device outputs no video? (PID 5969/6331)

Product ID's 5969 and 6331 are both powered using the USB connector on the device.

Please be sure to connect the USB and MiniDisplayport connections and that both connectors are fully inserted.
Verify that the HDMI® cable is completely and securely connected to the HDMI port on the converter.
Verify that the HDMI cable is completely and securely connected to the HDMI port on the TV.
Verify that the TV has the correct input selected.
On the Mac, please go to System Preferences > Displays. Click the Detect button.
If using mirrored mode, please make sure the display resolution is supported by both the tv and the main monitor.
If using extended desktop mode, make sure you are not using a black background for your desktop. The black background may be mistaken for a failure to show video. New windows will not appear on the tv until they are moved from the main monitor to the tv screen.
